Here are some pics of our adventure of the past 24 hours or so:
5 p.m. Sitting on the birth ball before dinner, sharing the word on Twitter and Facebook that labor has begun. Contractions are about 9 minutes apart and very easily manageable.
Contraction times written on blackboard while I kept busy with last minute baby preparations and cooking dinner. See them getting closer together?
The tub where Toth was born. Except, you know, it was full of water and ... stuff.
This is the birthing stool. I cannot imagine why every hospital does not have one of these things. It really seeemed to facilitate the most effective pushing I have ever done.
Skin to skin. He's still got a little vernix on his butt.
Next day at noon, Toth meets his sisters. They each brought a bouquet for me and a stuffed animal for him. Pebbles: "Hey! A baby!" Nutmeg: "I call him my twin brother because we look alike."
Grammy holds her only grandson.
Chillin' with Mommy after all the company has left.
And chillin' with Dad too. Did I mention that this baby is a carbon copy of his daddy? When we get home I will have to upload a baby pic of Epu for comparison.
