In Memorium: Summer

Summer didn't really end for me until the Cubbies ended last weekend. Now I find myself all missing Pat and Ron, the Cubs' broadcast team, and we are almost done getting the girls' Halloween costumes together, and then I went and bought a Xmas present (since I have free shipping with Amazon Prime and all), and now I come to realize that maybe I should take those shorts out of my dresser because summer really isn't just out for a short break. She gone.

Which brings me to another realization: I never got around to posting photos from all the best moments of this sweet summer: The Fourth of July, our trip to Grammy and Grampy's cabin, the block party. So here they are. Take one more moment to bask in summery summerness, and then we'll all be ready to wrap up, butcher some pumpkins and move on.

Sweet pictures! I too am in denial about summer being over, even though the leaves are changing and acorns are raining down on our yard.

That red, white, and blue Fourth of July dress is adorable.

Sigh...I am so not ready to say goodbye to Summer. We're glad we got to spend some of the fabulous warm days with you and your fam, though!!
