Drama Queen or Medium?

Today Epu was telling me about a tough day he'd had at work. We were walking down our street, the girls gamboling along, but apparently Nutmeg wasn't just gamboling. She was also LISTENING, that little pitcher with big ears.

Somehow she got the idea that Epu's hard day meant we would be moving away. She began to howl and cry. She has this drama thing lately, and it's so overblown you want to laugh, but she is crying real tears.

"No, no, I don't want to leave Oak Paaark," she cried. And then it got more dramatic.

She began hugging things: The bushes, the porch.

"Oh, dear house, I don't want to leave you. OOOOOh, dear bush, ooooh, dear snowflake mat."

Even: "Ooooohhhh, dear CVS, I don't want to leave you."

Well. After a few minutes we both couldn't help cracking up, but she was so wrapped up in it she didn't notice. After awhile, Pebbles tried a little moaning and crying herself, and cracked herself up.

I'm glad that Nutmeg loves it here so much. We're not planning on moving away.

Although ... This kid has a knack for predicting the future.

Well, we're probably going to Seattle next, so you know who will be getting a documentary on the state of Washington for Christmas. :)

Aww...what a little sweetie. It's good to know she likes where you're living, at least. And I, for one, hope you guys aren't moving...when are we going to get our girls together for a play date, anyway?
