Check out the windows behind my future Dancing With the Stars contestant:

And here's the snow from my front doorway, with the door open:

Nutmeg's teachers have already warned that they can cancel tomorrow's school at their discretion. Am currently studying "The Secret," which I previously considered crap, because I will now try anything to draw clear weather and plowed streets toward the teacher's house by tomorrow a.m.

I am so jealous of your snow...and your beautiful neighborhood. It looks gorgeous. I live in KY and we've had lots of "heavy dustings," but nothing like what Chicago has!

We do have nice trees. The neighborhood is nothing fancy -- those are apartment buildings across the street -- but we are happy here.

Well, look at your lovely little white, fluffy world! It's so great the the Nut and Pebbles will get to experience the snowy childhood we did. I have such fond memories. :)

Dude, this snowstorm blows. Period. I had to get to the doctor's office today, ended up walking the 10 blocks onto campus, and it was literally RAINING ICE.

I'd love to join the nostalgic vibe of the fine ladies who have commented already, but I must protest this nasty weather. If I still lived in DC, I'm sure it would look very pretty. From 20 minutes east of you, though, and with a toddler couped up in this house like a caged animal, I say "Make it stop!"
