She's Looking Out for Little Sis

Last night, Nutmeg woke up crying. This often happens in the evening between bedtime and "halftime," when she joins us in our room (around midnight). Usually I go in there and lay her back down without trying to talk to her, because she's usually incoherent when she wakes up.

This time, I asked her what was wrong.

"I really, really, really want the baby to learn more songs," she said.

Well, that's understandable, I guess.

Nutmeg has yet to return to school, by the way. She is much sicker than she was yesterday, and tomorrow I take her to the doctor for a strep test and a listen to her wheezy, coughy lungs. I have a feeling her no-antibiotics streak will be broken before she hits the 4-year mark, after all.

Completely unrelated to your post....we just got your card and pictures of the kids. Do you have the cutest little girls EVER or what????? The photos are really amazing and both girls are just gorgeous.
Related to your post....I am sorry that Nutmeg is sick. This is the time when school is so fun that you don't want to be sick!

I hope the little Nut gets better soon. I know how you feel about antibiotics. K was on a string of them when he was little - each stronger than the first. Does it ever end once you start? /sigh

Awh, so sorry to hear about the Nut. :( I hope she feels better very soon.

How thoughtful of her to have nightmares with regard to her sister's musical welfare!

Hope Nutmeg feels better soon! Then she can start teaching her sister some new songs! :-)
