It's 9:05 a.m., and the moment I've been anticipating all week is over. I'm finished registering for winter Chicago Park District programs, which opened at 9 a.m. I got two of the classes we wanted -- tumbling again and something called Tot Spot at our nearest park, which I guess is a playgroup. Mixed Media - Painting (ages 2-4) and Music and Movement (Ages 2-4) were full before 9:01, as were many of the tumbling sessions. But luckily this time I managed to get an a.m. tumbling class, so Nutmeg won't be so cranky and naughty while we're there.

Why do these classes fill up so fast? Here's a hint: Tumbling is $40 for 8 weeks of class, and the playgroup is $10 for 9 weeks. In comparison, an 8-week class as the Old Town School of Folk Music is $110. Now we're off to get a flu shot for Nut and to Trader Joe's. After five whole days of Epu being home, being on our own again feels like being back to work after vacation. So much to do!
