We have Booja for the whole weekend while his parents take some long-overdue R&R. I just want to pat Epu and myself on the backs right now. They were both asleep as of 8:15. That's at least half an hour before either of them usually go down, I think. Our secret? Wear 'em out! Here was our day today:
7 a.m. Wake up. No tears for Booja, even though he is used to nursing in the morning.
Eat pancakes.
8:30 - 10:30 a.m. Play with two other toddlers at their home (aka babysitting). Mommy and Daddy take turns keeping World's Most Gentle Dog away from Booja, who is terrified of WMGD.
10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Free drums, rhythm, movement class at our local rec center. By the end of the class, Booja and Nutmeg can barely keep their eyes open.
11:45 quick lunch
12:15 naptime!
2:30 Booja wakes up
3:30 Booja gets tired of waiting and wakes up Nutmeg by poking her through the crib rails
4:00-6:00 birthday party!
6:30: dinner
7: bath
7:50 begin bedtime wind-down
8:15 Sound alseep.
That's right, baby. And Epu and I scored a copy of Brokeback Mountain at Blockbuster, and even more amazingly, Epu has agreed to watch it as long as we make frozen pizza. Hot Saturday night, folks.
