Infantile Pursuit

Today, while I was changing her diaper, Nutmeg asked me some funny question that I didn't understand.

"As me tomorrow, but not today," I replied.

"That was a book," she said, which she has been saying for months if she catches you quoting a book. But this time she followed it up with, "That was 'Hop on Pop.'"

I tried another book on her: "How about, 'When he walked in the shade that a fat lady made, she ...'"

"Harry the Dirty Dog!" she said. (Actually, it's "Harry at the Seasshore," but cut her some slack, people! She's not even 2 yet.)

She went on to identify lines from "Lily's Purple Plastic Purse," "The Napping House," "The Cat in the Hat," and "Curious George and the Puppies." She missed "There's a Wocket in My Pocket," but let's face it: Dr. Seuss was just phoning that one in anyway.

So, are there any game shows where my baby can win some money? Her college account could certainly use a boost.
